§ MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he can inform the House what percentage of the horses used in the Army have been bred, and what proportion have been procured, in Wales during the last five years.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The number of horses purchased in Wales for the Army during the last five years amounts to forty-four. It is not known what percentage of these horses was bred in Wales.
