To ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the new firearm about to be issued to Gorman cavalry; and whether he has any information as to its merits compared with the rifle issued to British troops.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The German cavalry have been experimenting with a new carbine during the past training season, but no information has so far been published officially regarding the weapon.
