I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty what was the casualty of importance which was subsequently found to have been omitted from the Return issued last year for the year 1906; and what new circumstances have arisen which prevent the Return of minor casualties being as complete as in former years.

The casualty referred to was a

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The right hon. Gentleman has taken the first figure from the wrong column in the Estimates. The correct particulars are as follows—

breakdown of the engines of H.M.S. "Terrible," due to a broken shaft. The omission was due to inadvertence. The Return of minor casualties is not now less complete than in former years.
