HC Deb 26 May 1908 vol 189 c955
MR. HAZLETON

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will explain the increase of £47 in the salaries for medical inspectors under the local Government Board contained in the Estimates for 1908–9, in view of the fact that no increase of salary for such inspectors is proposed this year.

MR. BIRRELL

The increased provision in the Estimate for the current year is due to the fact that in May, 1907, two medical inspectors received increments of salary, hiving served for the necessary term of five years.
