HC Deb 25 May 1908 vol 189 c738
MR. J. P. FARRELL

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state the present position as regards the sale of the estate of Mrs. M'Cormack, at Kilfinton, County Longford; whether the agreements have yet been lodged, or have the Estates Commissioners made any offer to purchase; and will he explain the delay in this case.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners have had a preliminary inspection made of this estate, and have informed the owner of the price which they have put upon it. The Commissioners understand that the owner is prepared to accept this price, and that he is accordingly about to institute formal proceedings for sale.
