§ MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the scheme of re-classification of clerks to surveyors of taxes has not yet been brought in to operation; and will he state when such scheme is to be given effect to.
(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) So far as possible the scheme was brought into operation from the date of the Treasury authority, but full effect cannot be given to it until the necessary arrangements with the Civil Service Commissioners have been completed.
