HC Deb 21 May 1908 vol 189 c474
MR. ARTHUR PRIESTLEY (Grantham)

To ask the Secretary of State for War what is the present relation of cadet corps to units of the Territorial Force to which they were formerly attached; and whether he can make any announcement as to the future status of cadet corps.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) Existing cadet corps will for the present be administered by the War Office and not by the County Associations. A certain number of school corps will be invited to join the officers' training corps under the scheme outlined in the Army Order of 16th March. The future status of other cadet corps will be considered with the Associations, as soon as the Associations have had full time to work out the main questions connected with the Territorial Force which now claim their attention.
