HC Deb 20 May 1908 vol 189 c296
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Lord Chancellor has taken any action with reference to the language used by Mr. J. Keaveny, J.P., at a public meeting on Sunday, 19th April, at Tulsk, County Roscommon.

MR. BIRRELL

The Lord Chancellor informs me that he has been in communication with Mr. Keaveny upon this subject, and that gentleman denies having used the language attributed to him in the newspaper reports. In the circumstances the Lord Chancellor has no materials upon which he can take any further action in the matter.
