HC Deb 18 May 1908 vol 188 cc1613-4
MR. J. MACVEAGH (Down, S.)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the increased cost of living at Warrenpoint, County Down, consequent on comprehensive local improvements and increased taxation, he will consider the advisability of placing the Warren-point sub-post office in Class IV., seeing that the Hobhouse Report contemplated special consideration for the postal servants in seaside resorts.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) I will take into account all the circumstances before deciding upon the final position of Warrenpoint in the new classification. The Report of the Parliamentary Committee did not, however, contemplate special consideration for the postal servants in seaside resorts.
