HC Deb 11 May 1908 vol 188 cc700-1
MR. O'SHAUGHNESSY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can say why it is that Mrs. Margaret Sheehy, of Raheen, Croagh, in the County of Limerick, evicted tenant on the estate of Mrs. M. R. Conway, of Ballinaguile, Croagh, did not get the grant that was promised to her by the inspector of the Estates Commissioners to enable her to stock her evicted farm, although the two other evicted tenants on the same property got theirs; and whether the Commissioners will see that she gets this grant at once.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The question of making a grant in such case is one for the determination of the Estates Commissioners themselves. The case is being inquired into.
