HC Deb 11 May 1908 vol 188 c700
MR. O'SHAUGHNESSY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say why the Estates Commissioners are not reinstating a William Bourke, of Ballinagould, in the County of Limerick, and the other evicted tenants on the Waller property, having regard to the fact that the landlord has given up the evicted farms to the Commissioners; and when may they expect to be reinstated.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The owner has signified his willingness to accept the Estates Commissioners' provisional offer for the evicted holdings in this case, and the necessary formal proceedings will shortly be instituted. There will be no unnecessary delay in completing the arrangements for purchase.
