I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the quantity of sugar imported into the United Kingdom in the year 1907 and its value; and the amount of duty paid upon it?

The quantity of sugar imported into the United Kingdom during the year 1907 was 34,649,775 cwts., and the value was £19,134,154. The duty paid on the net quantity (30,926,044 cwts.) of sugar cleared for home consumption during the year was £6,169,678.
