HC Deb 07 May 1908 vol 188 c433
MR. LAMONT (Buteshire)

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether the post office buildings at Rothesay are being enlarged in order to adapt them for taking over the telephones in 1911, or in order to cope with an increase in postal work?

THE POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. SYDNEY BUXTON,) Tower Hamlets, Poplar

The primary object of the enlargement is to meet the increase of ordinary Post Office business, but space is also being provided for the transfer of telephone business in 1911.
