§ MR. JAMES O'CONNOR (Wicklow, W.)To ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that in November last Mr. Slidders, of Broughty Ferry, appealed to him for mitigation of punishment; that he has received no reply to his petition; and whether he will inquire into the case.

Postman Slidder's case was carefully reviewed, in connection with appeals from him in February, March and October, 1907; and on the last occasion he was definitely told that he was to regard the reply as final. In these circumstances I was not prepared to reopen the case in November last when he again submitted an appeal to me.
