MR. WEDGWOOD (Newcastle-under-Lyme)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies, what were the grounds on which the Indians landing from the "Monteagle" at Vancouver were ordered to be deported by the Canadian Federal Authority; did the provincial authorities oppose their landing or did opposition come only from the Federal Authority; and does the decision of the Federal Authority have the approval of His Majesty's Government.
