BOTTOMLEY (Hackney, S.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he can state when the criminal statistics for 1907 will be issued; and whether, in the meantime, he can state the number of convictions against licensed victuallers during that year in respect of offences other than those referred to in the recently issued licensing statistics.
§ MR. GLADSTONEIt is not expected that the criminal statistics for 1907 can be completed before the end of the present year. The offences by licensed persons shown in Table V. of the recently issued volume of licensing statistics include all offences by licensed 777 persons as such. As regards other offences there are no statistics differentiating between licensed persons and other members of the community.
