HC Deb 18 March 1908 vol 186 c580
MR. DELANY () Queen's County, Ossory

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that Sergeant Molloy, Royal Irish Constabulary, Kilmalogue, Portarlington, is married to a woman from the town whose friends reside in the street in which the police barrack is situated, can he say whether this is in conformity with the constabulary regulations; and, if not, what course he proposes taking.

MR. BIRRELL

Sergeant Molloy is married to a native of Queen's County, and his wife has no relatives or connections in King's County, in which the sergeant is serving, except one distant connection. The Inspector-General informs me that it is not contrary to regulations for the sergeant to remain at his present station.
