HC Deb 12 March 1908 vol 185 cc1751-2
MR. FELL

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that Kaid Maclean has gone to Rabat in a French gunboat; and, if so, can he state if we are now entirely free from any responsibility in regard to him if he is captured again.

SIR EDWARD GREY

I am unable to add anything to the Answer which I gave the hon. Member on the 27th. ultimo; but it will be made clear that we cannot accept unconditional responsibility for future contingencies.
