To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the Report of the Court of Inquiry held with regard to the loss of the steamer "Pernambuco"; whether he is aware that the captain of the vessel was in default for not using the lead more frequently; and whether he will cause inquiries to be made as to whether the vessel had a sufficient number of men in each watch to use the lead snore often.

(Answered by Mr. Kearley.) The Board f Trade have not yet received the Report of the inquiry into the loss of the steamer "Pernambuco "; when it reaches them the point which my hon. friend raises in regard to the casualty shall receive consideration.
