WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he has yet received from the Government of India the memorial of the Cutchi inhabitants of Bombay relative to the proposed Bombay-Sind connection railway; and, if so, will he state whether he has yet arrived at a decision on the subject.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Morley.) The Memorial has been received and considered. I have decided that the line, if constructed, shall follow the route north of the Runn of Cutch, which is shorter and less costly than that through the Cutch State.
