HC Deb 09 March 1908 vol 185 c1129
MR. CATHCART WASON

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland if he is aware of the decision with reference to the establishment of a whaling station at Burton port, Ireland, and also the attitude of the Board of Trade towards an application for a whaling station at Arranmore; and, in view of the practically unanimous opinion in Shetland, and by the entire fishing population in Scotland, that the restrictions imposed by the Whaling Act will still preserve some of the worst features of the operations, if he will reconsider his position with reference to the proposed Amendment.

MR. SINCLAIR

I am generally aware of the information to which my hon. friend alludes, but I have nothing to add to my reply of 5th instant.
