HC Deb 09 March 1908 vol 185 c1114
MR. ELLIS (Nottinghamshire, Rushcliffe)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the Great Northern Railway have not yet replaced Savilles level-crossing, Colwick, by a footbridge, as intimated by him on 30th July, 1907, in reply to a Question, would be the case; and, having regard to the public danger constantly arising, will he put pressure on the company to do the work at once.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

I am informed that tenders have been obtained for the construction of a footbridge crossing the lines of both the Midland and Great Northern Companies, but that some difficulty has arisen with the local authority as regards the diversion of a footpath and with the owners of the land, which may cause some delay.
