MR. WHES (Islington, S.)To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether it is proposed to prohibit imports into this country of European hay and straw; and, if so, on what date the prohibition will come into force.
(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) An order for this purpose was issued last Wednesday, and comes into operation to-day.
