HC Deb 02 March 1908 vol 185 c327
MR. HAY MORGAN (Cornwall, Truro)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he can state the reasons for the reductions which have been made in the coastguard force; and whether, in view of their service in life-saving from shipwrecks on the coast, he can give any assurance to the House that the present strength of the force will not be further reduced.

MR. LAMBERT

My right hon. friend will make a statement on this subject to-morrow.
