DUFFYTo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that the property of Mr. O'Malley, Connemara, situate at Craig Abbey, Athenry, was offered for sale to the Estates Commissioners; have negotiations concluded; and, if so, will instructions be given to the Commissioners to deal with the property at an early date.
(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners had a preliminary inspection made of the property in question, but did not consider it desirable to take steps to purchase it.
