HC Deb 25 June 1908 vol 191 c85
MR. BOTTOMLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the British Minister at Belgrade maintains intimate personal relations with the Servian regicides, in violation of the assurances given that such relations would be carefully avoided; and whether, in view of the evidence laid before the State trial at Cettinje, implicating the Servian Crown and Government in a plot to assassinate the Prince of Montenegro and his family, the Government will consider the propriety of again severing diplomatic relations with Servia.

SIR EDWARD GREY

The Answer to the first part of the hon. Member's Question is in the negative. With regard to the second part, His Majesty's Government are in possession of no evidence of the nature alluded to, and have no intention of making any change in the diplomatic relations existing between the two countries.
