HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 cc1555-6
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when it is proposed to appoint British officials authorised to interpret and enforce the New Hebrides Convention.

COLONEL SEELY

All the important British officials required for administrative purposes under the New Hebrides-Convention have already been appointed and are discharging their duties. None of the Judges of the joint Court have yet been appointed; for the reasons stated in my reply to the hon. and gallant Member for St. Andrews Burghs on 5th May, the Court cannot begin its functions-for some little time.
