HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 c1531
MR. McHUGH (Sligo, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a copy of a Resolution adopted by the Sligo Rural District Council on the 23rd instant, complaining of the delay of the Local Government Board for Ireland in issuing the Provisional Order for No. 4 improvement scheme promoted by the council under the Labourers Act; and whether he will direct the Local Government Board to issue the Order without further delay.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Resolution in question has been received. The inspector has sent a draft of the order he proposes to make in respect of the scheme to the clerk of the rural district council with a view to the schedules thereto being carefully checked and compared with the maps deposited in his office. As soon as this has been done the inspector will at once sign the order, and copies of it will be transmitted to the council when printed. The scheme in this case was a very large one, embracing 495 plots.
