HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 cc1527-8
MR. SLOAN

To ask the Postmaster-General if he can state what site has been purchased for the extension of postal work in Belfast; and when will building operations commence.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The site purchased for the extension of the head Post Office at Belfast is bounded on three sides by Miller's Lane, Berry Street, and Smithfield, and on the fourth side by private property. I am unable at present to state when building opera- tions can be commenced; but I will see that matters are pressed forward as far as possible.
