HC Deb 01 June 1908 vol 189 c1535
MR. O'SHAUGHNESSY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say whether the Estates Commissioners received an application from Stephen O'Grady, of Ballyla, Rathkeale, in the county of Limerick, for a holding as an equivalent to the one from which his father was evicted; and, if so, what action do they propose to take in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners received the application in question on 23rd July, 1907, but, having regard to the large number of applications received prior to 1st May, 1907, which must first be dealt with, they cannot say when they will be able to consider the case.
