§ MR. GLADSTONEI regret that I am unable to give the information desired. No official figures as to breakdowns are compiled, and it would be very difficult to define breakdowns so as to distinguish them from temporary stoppages, due to the need of adjusting brakes, replenishing the supply of water in the radiator, etc.
