HC Deb 28 July 1908 vol 193 c1185
SIR WILLIAM BULL (Hammersmith)

To ask the First Commissioner of Works why the building operations for the extension of the British Museum in Montague Place have been suspended for nearly a year, and when they are likely to be renewed.

(Answered by Mr. Harcourt.) The delay has arisen in connection with the settlement of internal details and the preparation of the drawings for the superstructure. It is anticipated that the works will be recommenced early in October.
