STAVELEY-HILLI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in signing their labour contracts, the native labourers for the Transvaal mines recruited in Portuguese East Africa are compulsorily repatriated at the end of their period of work; and, if so, whether the Government intend to make representations to the Transvaal Government with a view of altering the necessity of repatriation.
