HC Deb 27 July 1908 vol 193 cc851-2
MR. DELANY

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the site selected by the committee of the Mountmellick Rural District Council for a cottage and plot for Michael Delany, Ballina, Ardderin electoral division, has been fixed on demesne lands; and whether, seeing that the cabin at present occupied by Delany has been condemned by the medical officer as unfit for human habitation, the Local Government Board will take the necessary steps to secure a cottage for this labourer.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The scheme of the rural district council has not yet been received by the Local Government Board. Assuming that the case of Michael Delany is included in the scheme, it will be fully considered by the inspector who will hold the necessary inquiry.
