HC Deb 15 July 1908 vol 192 cc830-1
MR. R. L. HARMSWORTH

To ask the Secretary for Scotland if he is aware that the Grimsby-Norwegian trawler "Viking" was recently detected trawling within the three-mile limit off Lybster, Caithness, and whether, in order to prevent a repetition of this offence, he can see his way to station a fishery cruiser in this neighbouhood.

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) I am aware that the trawler "Viking" was recently detected employed in trawling within the three-mile limit off Lybster, and that the case has been reported for prosecution; it is not practicable to station a fishery cruiser off Lybster, but frequent visits to the coast of Caithness are made.
