HC Deb 08 July 1908 vol 191 cc1648-9
MR. J. DEVLIN

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is now in a position to state whether there has been any appreciable decrease in the number of cases of consumption in Ireland consequent on the inauguration of a national campaign against the disease; and whether he has any statement to make on the subject generally so far as Ireland was concerned.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) I do not think that I can at present conveniently add anything to the Answer which I gave to the hon. Member's similar Question on 26th May last. I hope, however, to be in a position to make a statement on the subject upon the Second Reading of the Tuberculosis Prevention (Ireland) Bill.
