MURPHY (Kerry, E.)To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is prepared, before finally deciding on the new method of allocation of the supplementary grant for primary education, to take steps to ascertain the opinions of the executive of the teachers' organisation on the subject.
(Answered by Mr. Cherry.) My right hon. friend is prepared to consider any representations which the teachers' organisation may think fit to make to him, but he does not feel called upon to approach them in the matter.
