HC Deb 02 July 1908 vol 191 c958
MR. CHARLES ROBERTS (Lincoln)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can state the rates of duty charged on liquor licences in the States of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York; whether he can give the total sums annually raised by such duties for each class of licence and the number of such licences in these high-licence States; and, if he is not in possession of the facts, whether he would request His Majesty's Embassy at Washington to supplement their Report No. 657, of 1907, by furnishing the information.

SIR EDWARD GREY

The information asked for by my hon. friend in the first part of the Question is rather too long to be stated in a verbal Answer, but will be circulated with the Votes. As regards the second part of the Question, I will cause inquiries to be made at Washington.
