HC Deb 24 February 1908 vol 184 c1329
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

To ask the Postmaster-General, whether he has received a memorial from the inhabitants of Churchill, Letterkenny, and surrounding districts, praying for a Sunday delivery and a daily mid-day delivery of letters; and whether he is now able to give effect to the wishes of the memorialists.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) I have received the memorial referred to; but, as I explained to the hon. Member in December last, the postal service in the district in question is already being carried on at a loss, and I should not be justified in incurring additional expense for the provision of the improvements desired.
