HC Deb 20 February 1908 vol 184 c988
MR. REES (Montgomery Boroughs)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he will consider the advisability of suggesting to the Government of India that the Famine Code should be known as the Famine Prevention Code, and that a similar alteration should be made in the nomenclature relating to this subject, in order to the correction of misapprehensions widely entertained in this country regarding the prevention of famine in India.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Morley.) I will call the attention of the Government of India to the hon. Member's suggestion, and they will no doubt give it their consideration.
