§ SIR THOMAS ESMONDETo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland how soon do the Commissioners of National Education in Ireland propose to allow the building of the proposed new school at Ferns, county Wexford, which work has now been six years delayed.
(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Commissioners of National Education are awaiting a Report from the Board of Public Works as to the suitability of special plans for the building which were submitted in this case by the applicant, and estimates of the cost of building, enclosing, etc. The Board of Works have intimated to the Commissioners that they are in communication with the applicant's architect regarding some amendments which were required in the plans, and that they are taking steps to expedite the case.
