HC Deb 06 February 1908 vol 183 cc1099-100
MR. JOHN ROCHE (Galway, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will say what steps the Government propose to take to ascertain the circumstances under which the recent proceedings for a writ quo warranto in the case of His Honour County Court Judge Bodkin were initiated; and whether he proposes to take any action in view of the suggestion of the Lord Chief Justice of Ireland that proceedings by way of petition might be taken.

MR. BIRRELL

The Government do not propose to take any steps in this matter. It is of course open to Judge Bodkin to take action if so advised.
