HC Deb 05 February 1908 vol 183 c873
MR. A. ROCHE (Cork)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the unanimous expression of public opinion all over Ireland during the past six months on the urgent necessity of taking steps to check the ravages of consumption in Ireland, any action will be taken this session to amend the law in conformity with the views expressed at the meetings.

MR. BIRRELL

It is intended to introduce a Bill on the subject of consumption in Ireland. The Bill, which has already been drafted, is entitled "The Tuberculosis Prevention (Ireland) Bill, 1908." I hope it will pass into law during the present session.
