HC Deb 04 February 1908 vol 183 c722
MR. STAVELEY-HILL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received the police report that four head of cattle grazing on the Mount Butler lands, and belonging to Mr. D. Keesham, were mutilated by having their tails cut off; and whether any arrests have been made.

MR. BIRRELL

A police report as to the offence referred to in the Question was received in the month of October last, when the matter occurred. The offence was committed at night. No arrests were made.

MR. BYLES (Salford, N.)

Is it not a common practice for ladies and gentlemen in this country to cut off the tails of their dogs and horses?
