HC Deb 21 December 1908 vol 198 c2362
MR. BOWERMAN

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he can now state when he will be prepared to carry into effect the recommendation embodied in Paragraph 406 of the Report of the Hobhouse Committee, which states that the class of senior postman should be amalgamated with that of head postman.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) The adoption of the recommendation referred to has involved questions of considerable difficulty. The selection of officers to perform the various groups of duties is now proceeding, and I hope that the scheme may shortly be completed.
