HC Deb 03 December 1908 vol 197 cc1639-40
MR. COURTHOPE

TO ask the Secretary of State for War whether men of the Territorial Force, who reengage at the end of the period of service for which they enlisted, must under existing conditions be enlisted and attested a second time; and, if so, whether he will take steps to obviate the annoyance and inconvenience which this will inevitably cause before the first year of service in the Territorial Force expires.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) A man of the Territorial Force who, on the termination of his current engagement, desires to continue has only to sign the re-engagement paper. It is not considered that this procedure can cause annoyance or inconvenience.
