HC Deb 02 April 1908 vol 187 cc643-4
MR. BYLES (Salford, N.)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, having regard to the expectations held out by the Prime Minister to an important deputation several months ago, he is yet able to promise a reduction of the fee charged for naturalisation in this country, so that it may conform more nearly to the smaller fees charged in foreign countries.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) The question has been very fully and carefully considered, and it has been decided not to make any reduction in the fee.
