§ MR. LONSDALEI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received information of the destruction by fire of a quantity of hay in the district of Kildysart, county Leitrim, recently; and whether any persons have been prosecuted in connection with these fires.
§ MR. BIRRELLKildysart is in county Clare, not Leitrim. I am informed by the police authorities that one case of burning has occurred in that district, namely, the destruction of a rick of hay on the 1st instant. No prosecution has been instituted.
