I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state the number of cattle exported from Ireland to Great Britain during the past year, and the average value per head.

The numbers of cattle exported in 1906 from Ireland to Great Britain, including the Isle of Man, were as follows: Fat cattle, 240,617; stores, 474,230; calves, 55,537; other cattle, 5,897; total, 776,281. The average prices are estimated as follows: Fat cattle, £15 11s. 8d.; stores, £10 15s. 2d.; calves, £4 16s. 0d. The cattle returned as "other cattle" were old cattle, and of very low value.
