HC Deb 14 May 1907 vol 174 c778
MR. COGAN (Wicklow, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the police are aware of the whereabouts of Burrowes, of the firm of Burrowes and Mayne, stockbrokers, who defrauded his clients; and, if so, why they do not bring him to justice.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) It does not seem desirable to answer such a Question as this, as doing so might in many cases defeat the course of justice. The hon. Member may rest assured that the police will spare no effort to bring offenders to justice.
